Why does God allow pain and suffering? I couldn’t answer this question when I wrote this poem and I can’t answer it now. God has His ways and His reasons and His plans. They say hindsight is 20/20. Many times looking back we can see and understand why. My only answer is my testimony of how God has moved in my life – how He has protected, provided, and blessed.

In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; (1 Peter 1:6-7 NASB 1995)
