I wrote “God’s Eyes” because we need to see ourselves through the eyes of God. We are God’s children, created in His image by His loving and tender hands. We are exactly how God want us to be. We need to see and appreciate what God has created and how special each of us is.
I know a young woman who thought she had no talent and wasn’t good looking. She expressed those thoughts many times. The truth is I could be talking about any number of other women and myself. No matter what I said I wanted to be my stepmother always told me I wasn’t smart enough and I believed her. And like this young woman, I didn’t think I looked good.
But as I watched, this young woman found love, married a wonderful man, and is now a wonderful, loving mother raising her children.
I know another woman who also expressed these feelings. She is one of the most gentle, caring, and loving women I know. She has the gift of making you feel so special and so loved.
Both these women know and love the Lord, and the Holy Spirit has blessed both with gifts. Other women see their gifts and love them for how they use their gifts. But both these women, like many of us, listened to the world and Satan and judged themselves by “man’s” standards.
