Homosexuality and the Bible. What does God’s Word say? God’s Word says it’s a sin. One of many, many sins listed in the Bible, obviously, but a sin none the less. The Bible is full of verses condemning not only homosexuality but all sin. It also gives many warnings of the eternal suffering and consequences of remaining in sin.
100 Bible verses dealing with Homosexuality Just 1 of the 100 verses. Romans 1:26-27 (ESV) For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Before You Judge Me Too Harshly
Before you judge me too harshly understand this post was written in love and concern for lost souls everywhere. My prayer is that ALL come to know and understand God’s amazing love for them and that ALL accept the gift of salvation that Christ offers. But you must choose. God will not force you. You must freely and willing choose to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

God’s Love For Us
The Bible is filled with verses about God’s love for us and Christ’s suffering and death so that we can have forgiveness of our sins and eternal life. God loves all of us no matter what our sin. It’s our sin He doesn’t love. God doesn’t want any of us to be lost.
The following verses are just a few of the many verses in the Bible describing God’s love for us.
Luke 19:10 (ESV) For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
John 3:16-18 (ESV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
Romans 5:8 (ESV) but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
You Must Not Add or Subtract Anything From God’s Commands
“Do not make the Bible say what you want it to say, but rather let it say what God intended when He wrote it. If there is a command to be obeyed, we obey it. If there is a promise to be embraced, we claim it. If there is a warning to be followed, we heed it. This is the ultimate step: we submit to Scripture and let it transform our lives.” The MacArthur Study Bible – John MacArthur
Deuteronomy 12:32 (NLT) So be careful to obey all the commands I give you. You must not add anything to them or subtract anything from them.
Teaching Homosexuality Wrong
To say or teach that homosexuality isn’t a sin is wrong teaching. Why someone would teach wrong is another issue. My concern is for those who are being lead astray. If you hold to the belief that homosexuality isn’t a sin throughout your life, if you never accept Christ as your Lord and Savior, by the time you find out the truth it will be too late. Your earthly life will be over, and you will have condemned yourself to an eternity of suffering.
What Awaits Those Who Do Not Warn / Teach Wrong
Ezekiel 3:18 (ESV) If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
Ezekiel 33:8 (EVS) If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
James 3:1 (ESV) Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.
Turn From Sin And Live
Ezekiel 18:20-21 (ESV) The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
John 3:36 (ESV) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
