I hate its so I wrote the poem “It”. I don’t know anybody who likes them. Its will come to some of us more than others, but we will all deal with its. Its will change us one way or another. That change is up to us.

People who have a close, personal relationship with God before an it happens handle an it with peace and comfort knowing that God will get them through. God doesn’t promise to always deliver us from its. What He does promise is to be with us and get us through. They may not understand; but because of their relationship with God, they know they can trust Him.
People who don’t have a strong, personal relationship with God, don’t know they can trust Him, don’t understand His promises, and don’t know God’s character. Many times, all they see is that God is cruel.
The time to develop a close, personal relationship with God is before an it happens. Jumping ship and abandoning God comes from a lack of trust and a lack of trust comes from not knowing God. There is more at stake than just having to deal with an it. The decision to abandon God has eternal consequences.
Bible Verses
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Isaiah 26:3)
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6‑7)
